Torsion Blades are very stiff, with little twist due to the first layer of carbon, laid at 45 degrees. This is laminated to a balsa wood core, to provide exceptional stiffness along the length of the blade. The swept tips are specifically designed to unload the head in manoeuvres requiring lots of power for quick collective and cyclic response, yet also keep the blade noise to a minimum.
